Today's collection is full of cute squirrels. It was inspired by the family of squirrels who make my yard their home. There is also a second inspiration for this collection. My friend recently lost a squirrel that she had rescued when it was a tiny baby. She had invested a lot of time in him and was very upset when he passed on. I had the pleasure of getting to spend time with this squirrel as well and can say without a doubt that he will be missed. She had to feed him with a tiny dropper when she first got him and was amazed that he survived. A vet told her that he most likely had some form of brain damage. She did try to release him once he was old enough to take care of himself, but he nearly killed himself trying to get back to the habitat that she had created for him. So, maybe you can see why this particular collection is special to me.
