Let's go BOWLing

It has been over 100 degrees here in Texas for days and days.  On top of that we haven't had any significant rain in months.  I read an article today that said La Nina was coming  back, so we are in for a continuation of the drought at least until 2012.  Our best hope of rain is a large tropical storm or hurricane.  It is really sad that you have to hope for a disaster in order to get a little rain.  The experts quoted in the article say that this drought is probably the worst since the 1950's.

I only know that it is getting really hard for folks around here.  It is really heartbreaking to hear about people who are having to sell off their cattle because they cannot feed them or don't have enough water on their property.  I know several people who have had to drill new wells or sink their pump farther into a well than it has ever been before.  I just hope that rain will come sometime soon.  Unfortunately, when it finally does rain we will probably end up with a flood.

Now on to today's collection.  Since I currently live in a dust bowl I was inspired to create a bowl collection today.  I have found an awesome selection of wood, glass, and pottery bowls for your perusal.  Enjoy!
